Bayer YMCA

The YMCA’s mission is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all. As a nonprofit dedicated to strengthening community, we hold our Annual Campaign to raise charitable funds to ensure all community members have access to the Y and to advance programs that address youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.

In 2019, the Bayer YMCA served over 11,000 participants through branch memberships and a variety of traditional programs. Of the participants, nearly 3,000 youth and teens benefited from our Swimming Lessons, Youth and Government program, Learning Labs, Ready Readers, and Teen Leader programs. More than 4,500 adults and families took part in our Parenting and Nutrition classes, and our Community Garden, LiveSTRONG at the YMCA, Diabetes Prevention Program, and Blood Pressure Self-Monitoring initiatives. Last but not least, 3,500 Seniors had access to and utilized social activities, nutrition classes, and our Senior Health Fair. Together these participants create our Monsanto Family.
